Yes, with the additional space on offer we have been able to increase our swimming lessons to cater to the demand of the local community and teach a life skill. Our best value for money package is our Active Premier membership, which includes use of the gym, all of our group exercise classes, general swims and the thermal suite. This package also includes the use of our other Active Tameside centres. You don’t need to be a monthly paying member to access the great facilities Exeter Leisure has to offer. You can join as a pay as you go customer and book and pay for individual gym, swim, class and sport sessions via the Exeter Leisure App.

Our Glamping Hives are a versatile option for families and friends looking for budget friendly, self-contained cosy accommodation. With all mod-cons, our Hives are great for group bookings exploring the area or to use as base when attending local events. St Sidwell’s Point is built to ultra-energy saving efficient Passivhaus standard. Once you have signed up, come to the centre during our normal opening hours and register your fingerprint (24-hour access excludes Live Active members and juniors). Our gyms are accessible and have wheelchair friendly resistance machines. If you visit any of our centres, our staff can show you the facilities and discuss your needs with you. Head down to Exeter’s Leisure sites this summer and find a range of activities to keep you active and connected throughout the holidays. Exeter Leisure’s new ‘School’s out, Summer’s In’ initiative will officially launch on the 28th of July and is running right up until the 28th August 2022.

Any non-swimmers or weak swimmers, despite their age, may be required to stay in the shallow end of the pool. Every swimmer’s ability and admission into deep water is at the pool attendant’s and management discretion. The thermal suite has a sauna, a steam room, a hot/cold shower, heated beds and a small lounge area for relaxing. Bowling is inclusive for all with our Hyperbowl experience and we offer quieter sessions too for those who need it. Tameside Wellness Centre has a moveable floor and access via a pool platform and a POD as well as gradual step entry.

Perhaps best known for its annual horse fair, which has been held for over 300 years, Appleby is home to a wealth of fascinating landmarks and attractions. Cumbria is renowned for its natural beauty and breath-taking landscapes, and visitors to the region are spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring the great outdoors. Car parking charges are needed to encourage people to use public transport, cycle or walk and help tackle congestion, pollution and encourage residents to be more active. The site has secure cycle storage and is well served by a number of bus routes. The more vehicles we can encourage from being driven, the cleaner the air we all breathe and the healthier the environment we live in, as befits the ethos of a wellness centre. The centre has recently undergone refurbishment works to the 25 metre pool and changing rooms which offer improved changing, toilet and shower facilities. For your convenience, Wild Rose Holiday Park features three buildings equipped with shower and toilet facilities, as well as baby changing stations.

At Tameside Wellness Centre, we have changing places fitted with hoists and height adjustable sinks. Please be aware that this is not a coached session and children under the age of eight must be accompanied in and out of the water by a responsible person aged at least 16 years old.
